Does it ever strike people as odd that despite all of the criticism for politicians, nobody does anything to change it?
I have not forgotten that it is I who holds control over every political decision that happens in this country.
We have every right to destroy the government that currently presides over United States,
our freedoms demand it, and yet we do nothing.
I want to do something, something else other then sitting here and watching every foolish naive teenager and
young adult let a worthless construct take all of their money, dreams, and aspirations right before their very eyes;
completely too uneducated to see how much of their lives will be wasted if they don't start thinking for themselves.
I know in the past I forsook reading the founding messages of this beautiful country, but I am now realizing my folly.
One of the most important clauses in The Declaration of Independence is the one that pertains to government
and its place in lives.
"...whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends,"
life [existence],
liberty [justice and law], and the
pursuit of happiness [if you have the ability to do something and do it well, you can!].
"it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government,
laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form,
as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."
Why then are we hesitating to step forward and replace something that is broken? and let's be honest, that government
is broken. On more the one occasion we have torn down the governments of other countries, pulling down tyrannical leaders
and regimes, eventually rebuilding their cities and economies to sometimes even greater power then before.
Yet in the midst of all this we can't do the same to our own government. That fact seems like a huge
oxymoron and makes no logical sense, we have every right to change it.
Political parties do not matter, it is an outdated way of thinking and a way to divide our ways of thinking, of the times we
need to be thinking along the same lines. You join a party you allow yourself to be divided and conquered. Also you are fed to the illusion
that you have a choice, but realistically you have no choice in the elections because of the institution of the Electoral College completely
denies you the right to have a say in who takes office, and essentially your livelihood. Everywhere I turn there are things that have been
in place for almost the length of this countries existence and for the most part I feel that they are severely out of date, especially when
pertaining to the current generation and its needs. I don't need anyone in the senate or in the presidential office spending my money
on anything other then ways to improve the lives of everyone in this country, because after all that's what their job is supposed to be.
So what are you going to do about? are you going to try to reverse the argument and say that I need to solve all of your lifes'
problems? or will you band together and start making a change in your world? Is letting an outdated system that no longer
serves a purpose what is best for this country?
